Gender diversity at MIT

Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have developed an interactive data visualization illustrating trends in undergraduate gender diversity at the university on a class-by-class basis. The visualization lists every department, such as anthropology or chemical engineering, and uses color-coded circles to represent each class and its gender breakdown. Users can also compare how gender diversity at MIT has changed from 1996 to 2006, and from 2006 to 2016.
