Creating an AI Bill of Rights is a Distraction

In the Financial Times, Hodan Omaar writes that the view that the United States needs a bill of rights for artificial intelligence as a hedge against technology companies’ immense power is premised on a misunderstanding of how power is deployed in America. The government doesn’t need to create new individual rights just for AI, it can use its constitutional powers to enact and enforce laws, and it should do so in a tech-agnostic way.
