Comments to the Office of Science and Technology Policy on the Development of an AI Action Plan

The Center for Data Innovation submitted these comments to the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) in response to their request for comments on developing an Artificial Intelligence (AI) Action Plan.

In this submission, we outline seven policy priorities we believe to be most critical for the AI Action Plan and specific actions the administration should take:

1. Accelerate AI Adoption
2. Prioritize AI for Structural Transformation
3. Reorient AI Export Controls
4. Create a National Data Foundation
5. Streamline AI Procurement
6. Refocus AI Governance Toward Evidence-Based Standards
7. Strengthen U.S. Leadership in Emerging Markets
