Improving Brain Tumor Detection

Researchers at Dalhousie University in Canada have released a dataset of ultrasound images from mouse brains to help train AI systems to detect tumors more accurately. The dataset includes over 1,800 high-resolution images, taken from both live and postmortem mice, with tumors of different shapes and sizes. Because mouse tumors closely mimic human brain cancer, especially glioblastoma, the dataset can help improve AI tools for identifying and removing tumors in human patients.
