LONDON—Following the announcement of the US-UK Tech Prosperity Deal, the Center for Data Innovation released the following statement from Head of Digital Policy for the UK and EU Ayesha Bhatti:
The Tech Prosperity Deal shows that the UK and the United States are stronger together in AI than they could ever be alone. Leadership in this technology among allies is not a zero-sum contest, and this agreement proves it. The UK is securing major investment in its AI infrastructure and advancing its AI-powered public service agenda, while the United States is deepening collaboration with one of the world’s strongest research partners and widening the reach of its own innovation. Most importantly, they are building AI leadership together in a way that drives science forward, strengthens both economies, and demonstrates digital solidarity on the global stage.
