Data scientist Peter Molnar has compiled a dataset of over 170 million tweets related to political issues posted during the three months leading up to the 2012 presidential election. Molnar scraped twitter for tweets containing any of 50 keywords related to salient political issues, ranging from “marriage quality” to “voter ID” to “Romneycare.”
