The Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences has released an open dataset cataloging its scorpion collection. It includes records for 3,652 specimens collected across 59 countries between 1872 and 2023, with information on species, collection locations, and preservation. By making these records publicly accessible, the dataset could help biodiversity and ecological research better understand scorpion distributions and identify species that pose risks to humans.
