A researcher from Vanderbilt University has released two datasets that contain more than 3,000 magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans of brains to advance the understanding of how academic skills develop in children. Standardized test scores, behavioral performance data on imaging tasks, and demographic data accompany the brain scans. One of the datasets also includes longitudinal information, which can allow researchers to understand how an individual’s reading capabilities develop throughout childhood.
