Facebook has released a dataset of 10,000 hateful memes to spur the development of systems that can identify hateful content that combines both images and text. The dataset includes a variety of examples related to protected categories, such as gender, race, and religion. To reduce false positives, the dataset also includes memes that are similar to hateful ones but are harmless.
