The National Center for Biotechnology Information, part of the U.S. National Institutes of Health, has created a dataset of coronavirus genome sequences. The dataset contains DNA sequences of 13,000 coronavirus strains found in patients. With the data, researchers can discover how the virus has evolved, pinpoint genes that produce different patient reactions, and fine-tune existing diagnostic testing.
