Researchers at the University of Hong Kong have released a dataset of lightning strikes around the world. The dataset compiles raw data from the World Wide Lightning Location Network to show information on the number of lightning strikes, strike location, strike power, and strike density from 2010 to 2020. According to the data, the average power of lightning strikes decreased to the lowest level on record in 2020.
