Researchers at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville have created a dataset of news articles to train misinformation detection models. The dataset contains approximately 1.9 million news articles released from 367 news outlets in 2021, as well as veracity labels for 348 of these outlets from Media Bias Fact Check, a U.S.-based fact-checking website. Researchers can use the dataset to train misinformation detection models with current news articles.
