Tom Barton, a researcher at the University of London, has created a dataset tracking voter identification laws in 246 jurisdictions around the world. The dataset notes each jurisdiction’s requirements for identification type and presentation, whether each jurisdiction has compulsory identification cards or voting, and the process of voter registration.
