Drones have long been touted as a game changer in product delivery. Drone delivery can improve efficiency, cut delivery time, and clear backlogs in the last-mile delivery chain. But the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) lack of comprehensive guidelines for drone delivery operations have stymied the package delivery sector’s adoption of drones across the United States. Additionally, local regulations for drone use—including in commercial delivery—have impeded operations.
Join the Center for Data Innovation for a webinar discussing the challenges inhibiting drone use in package delivery, where the drone tech and regulations affecting the tech are heading, and how policymakers can support safe drone operations.
