Researchers from Duke University and Loyola University, Chicago have released a dataset that contains biographical information about U.S. state lawmakers who held office in 2023 and 2024. The dataset collates information on the policymakers’ most recent occupation as well as other characteristics, such as their gender, race, and education from campaign websites and other online sources. The dataset provides a wide range of stakeholders with a comprehensive tool to analyze and research state politics.
