Detecting Neurodegenerative Diseases in Slovak Speakers

A group of researchers from Slovakia has created a dataset containing information on various speech and language tasks, such as sustained vowel phonation and naming and picture description, that roughly 1,600 people with neurodegenerative diseases completed. The dataset can help develop algorithms and automated systems to detect diseases like Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s early by studying speech patterns of Slovak speakers.
