Researchers from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Nanjing University have compiled a dataset based on soil samples from China’s Chang’e-6 mission, the first to bring back samples from the Moon’s farside. The dataset includes information on water content and hydrogen isotopes found in over 500 rock fragments, shedding new light on how water is distributed beneath the Moon’s surface, its internal structure, and geological history.
