Simulating Solar Systems

Scientists at Durham University in the U.K. and Leiden University in the Netherlands have created a dataset to simulate how galaxies, gas, and dark matter change across the universe over billions of years. The dataset contains 2.5 petabytes of data generated through FLAMINGO, an international supercomputer project that models how large cosmic structures form and evolve over time. The release gives scientists a foundation for studying galaxy clusters across the universe.
