Sue He is a policy intern with the Center for Data Innovation. She is in her fifth year as a doctoral student in mathematics at the University of Virginia, having graduated from Wellesley College, where she studied mathematics and neuroscience. Her data science work is in the national security and energy sectors at Leidos and the Center for Advanced Aviation System Development at the MITRE Corporation. Recently, she has also been working on projects with local non-profits and supervising students at the Data Science Institute at UVA. Her interests are cybersecurity, smart-grid energy analytics, and sustainability.
