The Washington Post has released a data set of aggregate information about sex offenses on U.S. college campuses. The release contains information from every four-year college or university that had at least 1,000 students enrolled in 2012. The data, which was derived from U.S. Department of Education information, includes total sex offense figures for 2010, 2011, and 2012, along with the number of offenses reported per 1,000 students in 2012. Penn State University tallied the largest number of reported offenses, with 56 in 2012. Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C., had the highest rate of reported offenses, with more than 11 per 1,000 students in 2012. More analysis and information on methodology can be found in an accompanying article.
