The Endangered Language Alliance, a non-profit organization in New York City that focuses on documenting and supporting linguistic diversity and endangered languages through research, has created a dataset of 700 languages and dialects spoken in New York City. The dataset includes information about neighborhoods where a significant proportion of people speak a given language, how common it is, its linguistic family, country of origin, and the estimated number of global speakers.
