Enhancing Robotic Movements

Researchers at the Shibaura Institute of Technology in Japan have created a new dataset to help enhance how well algorithms that predict the poses of different robots perform. Developers use these algorithms to better build robots that can grasp surrounding physical objects and move around more smoothly. The researchers captured high-quality depth images and annotated each image with precise data on the corresponding pose.
