Researchers at the University of Oxford have created a dataset and AI model to accelerate drug discovery. The dataset contains X-ray data showing how potential drug molecules interact with viral proteins, providing standardized, open-access training material for AI systems. By expanding datasets of protein–drug interactions, the project aims to improve molecular design, support the development of new medicines, and advance AI-driven drug-discovery research.
