Researchers at the Wolfgang Köhler Primate Research Center in Leipzig, Germany, have created a dataset on great ape cognition called EVApeCognition. Compiled from 262 datasets across 150 studies, the dataset contains records of how great apes, such as gorillas and orangutans, performed in tests of memory, problem-solving, communication, and social learning. The dataset gives researchers a deeper understanding of cognitive development across different ape species.
