The Arbor Day Foundation, a U.S.-based conservation nonprofit, has created a visual mapping where planting trees could best protect water supplies. The map shows how reforestation improves water quality, reduces runoff, and helps replenish groundwater. The visual highlights regions in dark green, such as the Amazon basin and Central Africa, where tree planting could most improve water availability, helping organizations target restoration efforts.
