Researchers at Florida State University have created a dataset compiling research on microplastics in cities’ rainwater runoff around the world, called the Dataset of Urban RUnoff Microplastics (DURUM). The dataset contains data from 180 monitoring efforts across 15 countries on the kinds and amounts of microplastics found. DURUM helps scientists better model how microplastics move through urban waterways and guide water-treatment planning.
