The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has released a dataset calculating the average values for temperature, rainfall, and other conditions in the United States between 1991 and 2020. NOAA releases data on 30-year climate averages, known as climate normals, every decade, and the data enable researchers to gauge how daily, monthly, and annual climate conditions in a specific location compare to what is normal for that location in today’s climate. The U.S. Climate Normals collection has 10 versions that begin with climate normals for 1901-1930, showing the stark impact of global warming over time.
