Connecticut AI Bill Advances in the Senate

Despite the governor’s objection and the opposition of some Republicans and tech industry groups, Democrats argue the bill is necessary to prevent harm and ensure ethical AI development.

Colorado Enacts New Data Privacy Law

Colorado Governor Jared Polis signed a new law amending the existing Colorado Privacy Act by broadening the definition of “sensitive data” to encompass biological data like neural activity. The new legislation requires businesses to obtain consent before collecting neural data from individuals.
