The European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts has created a high-resolution Arctic climate visualization that provides detailed weather data for the region. The new climate reconstruction system, called CARRA2, combines historical observations with weather modeling to better show precipitation variations. The visual compares versions, with the CARRA2 system in the middle revealing more detailed precipitation differences across the Arctic, with red shades indicating higher precipitation and lighter green and blue shades showing lower amounts.
