The New York Times has created a data visualization comparing the top 50 scorers in the playoff history of the National Basketball Association (NBA) to highlight LeBron James’ new record for career playoff points. The visualization compares players’ total playoff points, points in finals and conference finals, points scored by the age of the player, and average points scored in each game. LeBron James recently scored his 5,995th playoff point, breaking the record Michael Jordan set in 1998.
