Typing or Speaking Commands to Create Data Visualizations

Researchers from New York University have developed a data visualization tool that allows users to create data visualizations by typing or speaking simple instructions instead of coding. The tool, called FlowSense, works with data visualization software VisFlow and uses natural language processing to understand user text or speech inputs, such as “load car dataset” and “create a scatter plot of mpg and cylinders.”
