The Wall Street Journal has created a series of data visualizations demonstrating how the coronavirus spread. The visualizations show that the airport in Wuhan, China, where the virus originated, had direct flights to more than 30 international cities between December 2019 and January 2020. In addition, the visualizations show that millions of individuals left Wuhan before China imposed a lockdown on January 23.
