Tokyo 2020 rankings

The New York Times has created a series of interactive visualizations depicting how rankings in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games would differ depending on the relative value assigned to gold, silver, and bronze medals. For example, if all medals are assigned the same value, then Belgium would place 33rd in the final rankings. But, if one considers a gold medal to be worth 19 silver medals and a silver medal to be worth 1.15 bronze medals, then Belgium would place 29th in the rankings. Interestingly, no matter how one changes the values assigned to medals, the United States comes in first place and China second.

Take a look.
