Visualizing How Much Men and Women Work Has Changed Over Time

Flowing Data, an online publication that creates data visualizations, has created a visualization showing how many weeks per year men and women spent doing paid work from 1960 to 2019. According to the visualization, 42 percent of women and 87 percent of men worked at least one week per year in 1960, whereas 62 percent of women and 73 percent of men worked at least one week per year in 2019.
