Data viz on mass shootings

The Washington Post has created a series of visualizations tracking the number of mass shootings in the United States. One visualization shows the number of mass shootings that occurred every day in 2022 through July 4. Another compares the number of mass shootings through July 4 every year from 2014 to 2022. According to the visualizations, mass shootings have substantially increased in recent years, with at least four mass shootings occurring every week in 2022.
