Visualizing Baby Names After Hurricanes

Axios, an online news publication, has created a visualization showing how major hurricanes impact the prevalence of babies that have the same name as it. For each name, the visualization displays the percent change in babies given the name every year for 10 years before and after the hurricane. For example, the name Katrina was 83 percent less common 10 years after Hurricane Katrina; however, the name Opal was 95 percent more common 3 years after Hurricane Opal.
