Visualizing Demand in the Housing Market

The Washington Post has created a series of visualizations depicting demand changes in the housing market. One visualization shows the percentage of homes that sold within two weeks from January 2012 to August 2022 as a circular graph that spirals in and out from the center. According to the visualization, demand for houses initially tanked in April 2022 at the start of the pandemic before taking off. Only recently has the housing market cooled to pre-pandemic levels.
