Axios, an online news publication, has created a visualization tracking light pollution in the United States. The visualization shows the distance people have to travel to view dark skies, with short distances appearing as dark purple and long distances appearing as lighter shades of purple. According to the visualization, residents of New Jersey, Ohio, and Indiana have to travel the farthest distance to view dark skies.
