The Wall Street Journal has created a series of visualizations displaying the effects of climate change on agriculture in the United States. One visualization shows the weekly percentage of crops affected by drought during growing seasons from 2013 to 2023. Higher percentages appear as shades of red while lower percentages appear as shades of orange or yellow. According to the visualization, as of September 5, 2023, drought affected 49 percent of corn, 43 percent of soybeans, and 46 percent of wheat.
