Mapping the Share of Low-Wage Workers in Each State

Visual Capitalist has created a map showing the percentage of workers earning under $17 an hour in each U.S. state, using data from the Economic Policy Institute, a Washington D.C.-based research institute. The visualization shows that Mississippi, Louisiana, and Oklahoma are the top three states where workers earn less than $17, the proposed new federal minimum wage in recent legislation.
