The San Francisco Chronicle has created an interactive map that shows where and when car break-ins occur across the city. Drawing on reports from the San Francisco Police Department, it tracks how often break-ins happen each month and how activity shifts by location and time. The map uses larger, darker blue circles to show areas with more incidents and smaller, lighter circles for areas with fewer cases, helping residents quickly identify patterns and higher-risk areas.
