Geospatial company Taylor Geospatial and Microsoft AI for Good Lab have created an interactive visual called Fields of the World that catalogs agricultural land across the world. The project uses machine learning and computer vision to analyze satellite imagery and identify individual field boundaries. The visual shows where farm fields are located, with bright green marking intensive agriculture and deep purple indicating urban or natural areas with few fields.
