The U.S. Geological Survey’s Climate Adaptation Science Centers have created a collection of visualizations showing how recreational fishing in lakes and rivers contributes to food systems worldwide. The visuals compare countries by fish consumption, economic value, and vulnerability to climate change. The above visual estimates the dollar value of fish caught, helping researchers understand where freshwater fishing contributes to countries’ economies.
