Researchers at Harvard University and the U.S. Census Bureau have created a dataset tracking migration patterns for adults in the United States born between 1984 and 1992. The dataset compares the geographic areas individuals lived in at age 16 with the areas they lived in at age 26. For each hometown, the dataset lists the total number of people who moved to another area, the area they moved to, the total number of people living in the new area, and the probability that a resident of the new area is from the same hometown. The dataset also shows specific demographic information such as race and parental income levels for each group of adults who moved.
