Reuters has created a series of visualizations showing how close EU countries are to achieving bloc-wide targets for gas storage. As supplies from Russia to the EU have dwindled in the wake of the war in Ukraine, each country is required to fill storage to 80 percent of capacity by November 1st. For each country, the visualizations arrange the months of the year in a circle, with the target amount shown as a dotted line, the date to invasion as a red line, the progress of countries in blue, and the historical average in shaded gray. According to the visualization, eight countries have reached the target.
