A data visualization on the environmental impact of certain foods

The Washington Post has created a series of visualizations about the environmental impact of food. One visualization compares the overall environmental impact from greenhouse gas emissions, water usage, nutrient pollution, and habitat disturbance of different foods on a per-calorie basis. It shows meat products as red dots, dairy and egg products as orange dots, crops as yellow dots, and fish as blue dots. The visualizations show that fish have less impact per calorie on nutrient pollution and water usage than meat, dairy and egg products, and crops but have more impact on habitat disturbance than the other three categories.
