Journalists from DATADISTA, a Spanish digital media company, have created a data visualization using data from the National Information System on Drinking Water in Spain (SINAC) to map PFAS contamination levels across the country. PFAS, a class of industrial chemicals that do not break down naturally, accumulate in water sources and have been linked to serious health risks. The visualization highlights regions where PFAS levels exceed legal limits (green dots) and where they have reached 60 percent of the legal threshold (yellow dots). This visualization is part of the Forever Lobbying Project, a transnational investigation into PFAS pollution.
